Fix this!

So. I love this game. Had it on PS1 and PS3 and saw it on the App Store and just had to buy it. Kinda weird playing it though. And how some of the moves names are changed. Just sounds weird. Reason why Im giving this a 2 star is because I played for about 2 hours then died. Now every time I hit continue, it takes me right back to where I die at. It takes me to the last move of the last fight right before my character dies. And theres no getting out of it.
