Jesus, throw a transparency in there wen your characters are behind buildings!!! Do you how many times Ive moved to the wrong square at a moment in battle that was completely crucial because I could barely see the spot I needed to get to? And the friggin water textures look like the blue movement textures! Seriously. These are user friendly issues that Square could have easily addressed has they played the game. Theres a reason I never got into the PSX version. The controls were clumsy and it took the joy out of any strategy. I want Emblem Fire on IOS. Now theres a turn based strategy RPG that under stands story and gameplay controls. Disappointed for the cost. Dont buy, you wont finish it.

Be warned! Dont buy it for iPad because it doesnt support it like it says on the app page. Its a scam :(

This app needs to stop crashing!!! Every few minutes the games crashes and.i get screwed in my game. Unacceptable. An update would be great, one that would stop the constant crashing. So frustrating grr!

Got this game for iphone thinking it came with the iPad version. Little did I know, if I want it, i need to spill another 17.00 bucks. This game is great, but I dont feel i should pay 30+ dollars for an old psx game to have it universal...its a great game though, im just disapointed is all...

Had it on playstation, then psp, now have it on my phone. The story is deep and intresting, always fun to go back into.

I have an iPhone 4S, so this may not apply to those who own iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S/C The description for this version of the application is incredibly misleading and straight up false. All of the spell effects in the game still have some slowdown, albeit less than previous versions, but some effects still slow down MAJORLY. I got to the THIRD battle before I could no longer suffer through the slowdown. Chant take about eight seconds to finish, and potions about five seconds. This is the third battle people. The spell effects only get more elaborate as the game progresses, and I can guarantee effects like the dragoon jumps and curaga will take a long time to finish per use. Square Enix really should have given up on porting FFT when the PSP port had these very same problems.

Great game so far but please update for iPhone 5 screen size. I have changed from 4 to 3 stars because twice now the app has crashed mid game,very annoying since I payed $16 for it. Not sure if this is an iOS 7 issue or squares problem but either its lame.

This is a pretty solid port from the PSP "War of the Lions" version of Final Fantasy Tactics. The graphics look nice, the cutscenes are beautiful, and the sound is as good as ever. Maybe Im just lucky, but I havent experienced any of the slow-downs or glitches that the other reviewers on here have mentioned. I dont have an iPhone 5, so Im not plagued by the screen size issues either. Ive put probably 12 hours into the game so far and its crashed only once in the middle of a battle, but even that wasnt an issue because the game quicksaves any time youre on a menu screen. Just boot the app back up, say "yes" to the prompt, and youre right back to where you left off. I will say the controls are a little fiddly; it took a little bit of time to get used to the touchscreen. There were at least a couple times where I inadvertantly moved to the wrong space or ended a turn facing the wrong direction. But really, unless you have the coordination of a drunken toddler, youll probably be good to go after a few battles. I only paid $8 for this because I bought it during Square Enix Christmas sale, but honestly? I probably would have bought it at the full price as well. You could do a lot worse with $15 on the iTunes store.

Fun to play but no iPhone 5 optimization? The font is tiny and strains the eyes.

Has anyone else noticed that the monsters in green zones lvl up with your main character which makes it impossible later in the game to lvl up any new characters you might add to your army? I tried sending them on quests but that just gives them tons of JP ... Would be awesome if I didnt have to stick with just the 4 guys I chose at the beginning of the game!

Could not get past the 2nd battle; crashed 5 times. No way.

I have played it on PSP before, such a great game! Only one things i wish this ISO version could improve is more language supports, which also helps you to gain much more potential customers in Other countries

Wishing there was iPhone 5 resolution but otherwise one of the best games Ive ever played! Worth every penny!

A fantastic game that needs iPhone 5 fullscreen support.

Its so dumb how many random battles you have to do to play the game. You one hit monsters, then try the story mission and splash attacks one hit multiple people in your party. Why the hell are revive spells 50% accuracy? And like all status spells are 30%... You cant reliably do anything but just attack. Like my ninja has status effect abilities that have 30% accuracy and do little, or he can just attack and do 300 damage twice.... Way to kill all strategy that could be in the game. Pretty much the whole game comes down to "did my revive spell hit?" And "did their mage use firaja or slow?" Because one will miss or do nothing if it hits and the other will do 150 damage to half my party

The game is beautiful and I really like the retranslated story. The game is not well suited to a touchscreen though. It takes FOREVER to do anything and doesn’t feel intuitive, even after you turn off the annoying prompts from the options menu. Without a controller, it’s just an average version of the game.

I have to agree with the last review, the iphone 6 is out and yet there is no update for this app to have a fullscreen with the iphone 5. I would give this game a 5 starst out of 5 stars if this was fixed, I hope the developers consider fixing this as they will lose sales for people with iphone 5 and up.

I completed the game and received items you normally cant get on single player but why is it I cant get the genji set from the poachers den. I know you can get the armor from a side quest but how about the whole set unless my game is glitched and I cant get it.

Please update screen to fit iPhone 6!! Great game

The game crashes regularly for no reason, during battle or on the world map, even while browsing menus. The game can also make the iPhone crash and force reset. That is a serious stability issue that must be resolved as soon as possible. Screen resolution should be made to fit iPhone 5 and 6. I might give 5 stars once these basic aspects are dealt with.
